Project Goal: Develop a website for Evenbrooke Marketplace compatible with both desktop and mobile devices highlighting key information about the business, its background, and what it entails and aspires to offer its patrons.
Process: Evenbrooke Marketplace is an antique vendor market located in Lexington, North Carolina offering a wide array of vintage and handmade products, home decorations, and unique embedded shopping experiences. My first step in this process was to gather what I felt to be the most relevant pages and information to include in a website promoting this business. Since it was not going to be a website focusing on black-and-white transactions, it posed a fun challenge to present the most vital information about Evenbrooke in a way that would grab the attention of site visitors and promote them to explore each page, simply for the purpose of learning about what Evenbrooke is.
Result: The final website includes multiple pages, each unique in their design, that reveal a special aspect of what Evenbrooke is. The purpose of each page is not only to promote Evenbrooke Marketplace as a business, but also to help customers feel more connected to its history and what it stands for. By including pages that focus on how Evenbrooke began, revealing each of the faces that make it run, and explaining the deep connections behind everything involved in the business, visitors of the site are able to not only learn about what they will objectively find at Evenbrooke, but also can feel emotionally connected to it before even stepping into the store.
